Privacy-first by design. Courseexe was built to help developers protect privacy online. We apply the same principles to how we handle your data — collect less, retain less, share nothing.
1. Overview
Courseexe is built on a privacy-first philosophy. We provide developer tools designed to protect your identity online. We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the Service, and we never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
2. Information We Collect
When you register for an account, we collect your email address and a hashed version of your password. We do not collect your name, phone number, or payment details (donations are processed externally via PayPal or UPI). We may collect anonymized usage data (e.g., which tools are used most frequently) to improve the Service.
3. Disposable Email & Inboxes
Emails received by your disposable or permanent mailbox are stored temporarily to enable real-time delivery. Disposable mailboxes and their emails are automatically purged after a session ends or a short retention period. Permanent mailbox emails are stored only as long as you keep them. Deleting an email frees the corresponding storage quota.
4. Developer Tunnel
Tunnel traffic is proxied through our servers to deliver HTTPS access to your local server. We do not log, inspect, or store the content of tunnel traffic. Session metadata (subdomain, creation time, expiry) is stored temporarily and deleted when the session ends.
5. Cloud Databases
MongoDB cluster credentials and connection metadata are stored encrypted in our database. The content of your databases is your responsibility. We do not inspect, index, or process the documents you store in your cluster.
6. Cookies & Local Storage
We use session tokens (JWT) stored in your browser's local storage to authenticate your workspace session. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. You can clear your browser storage at any time to log out.
7. Data Retention
Registered user accounts and associated data are retained as long as the account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at admin@courseexe.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
8. Third-Party Services
Donations are processed by PayPal and UPI (Razorpay infrastructure). We do not receive or store your payment credentials. Please review PayPal's and your UPI provider's privacy policies separately.
9. Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt before storage. Connections to Courseexe are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. We apply industry-standard security practices, but no system is 100% secure. We will notify you promptly if a data breach affects your account.
10. Children's Privacy
Courseexe is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact admin@courseexe.com and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
